Each year, the World Association of Eye Hospitals supports 2 to 4 projects, providing up to €7,500 in funding per project.

Current projects?
• Cataract Calendar Project (by Moorfields Eye Hospital, London – 2025)
• Advanced Practice Orthoptists: Co-management and Care Plan Facilitation (by The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital – 2025)
• Anaesthetic modalities, cost and patient-reported intraoperative pain in ophthalmic surgery (by Clínica Oftalmológica Pasteur – 2025)
• Developing Guidelines for Nursing and Allied Healthcare Staff to assist Visually Impaired Patients (by King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital (KKESH) – 2025)

All projects contribute to one shared goal: improving the quality and safety of eye care worldwide. Project outcomes are shared across the entire WAEH network.
