Summary
Singapore’s public healthcare system is at an inflection point, requiring deliberate transformation to sustain clinical outcomes, healthcare access and workforce resilience. This abstract outlines the strategies that the Singapore National Eye Centre (a member of the Singapore Health Services cluster) will undertake in the near future, namely – Care Transformation, Appropriate and Value-based Care, and Manpower Optimisation. Through this three-pronged approach, SNEC aims to manage the anticipated surge in healthcare demand due to an ageing society while maintaining timeliness, accessibility and affordability of eyecare for our patients.
