Visions goes multilingual: thank you for your support!

News from our full member Jules Gonin Eye Hospital

Jules Gonin Eye Hospital says hello to our our colleagues around the world. We would like to thank WAEH for selecting the “Visions Multilingual Expansion Platform” project for 2026. Visions is a mobile app that simulates how people with visual impairment perceive their surroundings, and it also shows how a child’s vision develops between birth and age seven. Available so far in English, French, German and Italian, the app is free to download and already used by patients, families and health professionals across Switzerland and beyond.

We are excited to get started this autumn. The project aims to open Visions to new languages, with each participating hospital taking responsibility for reviewing and validating the content in its own language. Member hospitals interested in becoming a “Language Owner Hospital”, or simply curious to learn more, are welcome to get in touch with Alyssia and Muriel of the project team in Switzerland at !

Visions can be downloaded free of charge at https://www.ophtalmique.ch/app-visions/.
