25 March 2021 Webinar | Organising an Intravitreal Injection Facility

2024-03-18 09:21:28

Hosted by The WAEH, with Speakers from Moorfields Eye Hospital, London (UK)

In these extremely challenging and difficult times, Ophthalmology teams all around the globe, have worked extremely hard to deliver ophthalmology care to their patients, in the safest and most innovative ways.

The Moorfields South Division team

At Moorfields, the South Division Team, responsible for the Ophthalmology services for Moorfields in the South London area, have demonstrated extraordinary resilience by creating a new Injection Facility for their High Risk MR patients that needed to have their Intravitreal Injections. This happened during April 2020, when all of the sudden they lost access to their facilities due to the first wave response.

Organising an Injection Facility in 5 days!

The team worked above and beyond by identifying, certifying, stratifying their patient lists  and organising an injection facility in just 5 working days! Needless to say that this was a monumental task having in mind the strict framework and regulations that UK has on Intravitreal Injections Rooms and practice.

During this webinar, The Moorfields team will share their experience with their colleagues around the World and possibly help you with their experience!
