WAEH invited to contribute to IAPB policy roundtables in Brussels
The World Association of Eye Hospitals (WAEH) has been invited by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) to participate in two high-level policy roundtables in Brussels on 15 and 16 July. The discussions will explore the role of eye health in education, healthy ageing and workforce participation, while helping to shape Europe’s contribution to the Global Summit for Eye Health.
Representing the WAEH and it’s members, Global Lead Maaike van Zuilen will bring the perspective of eye hospitals as the organisations where policy ultimately becomes practice. By connecting experiences from leading eye hospitals across the world, WAEH contributes practical insights that help translate global ambitions into real improvements in patient care.
The invitation reflects the growing recognition of WAEH as a global partner in eye health, bringing together the operational experience of eye hospitals and contributing to international policy discussions that help shape the future of eye care.
