WAEH Meet the Chair
With University Eye Clinic Maastricht (The Netherlands).
Prof. Dr. Carroll Webers, Head & Chairman at the University Eye Clinic – part of the Maastricht University Medical Center from Maastricht, The Netherlands and Frank Biggelaar (University Eye Clinic Maastricht) met with Anders Boman (WAEH Chair and CEO St. Erik Eyehospital), Wim Oosterom (WAEH Advisor to the board) and Maaike van Zuilen (Global lead of the WAEH) to present and tell us all about their eyeclinic, scientific research and use of advanced technologies to provide excellent eye care to their patients.
Carroll Webers is a Glaucoma specialist at the Maastricht University Medical Center. He also is Chairman of the Medical Board. The University Eye Clinic Maastricht became a full member of the WAEH on March 19 this year.
Maastricht University Medical Centre+ is a partnership between Maastricht University Hospital and Maastricht University’s Faculty of Health, Medicine & Life Sciences.

The University Eye Clinic Maastricht collaborates with two partner eye hospitals in India. Namely,
the Narayana Nethralaya in Bangalore and the Aravind Eye Care System in Madurai, Chennai. The focus of the collaboration is research, education and e-health.
