We are excited to bring together colleagues from around the world to share innovative projects and best practices in ophthalmic care. This session will highlight the four new WAEH projects that are starting this year. Please join the Community of Practice meeting to see if you can join one of these new projects! 

  1. Anaesthetic modalities, cost and patient-reported intraoperative pain in ophthalmic surgery at Clinica Oftalmológica Pasteur, Chile 🇨🇱 Ophthalmalogist and Glaucoma Surgeon Alan Kastner will tell everything about this project.
  2. Cataract Calendar Project at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, United Kingdom 🇬🇧 
  3. Advanced Practice Orthoptists: Co-management and Care Plan Facilitation at Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺 
  4. Developing Guidelines for Nursing and Allied Healthcare Staff to assist Visually Impaired Patients at King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦

The group meets via Zoom every three months and is for all the human resources professionals working in eye hospitals worldwide. This group is led by Jos Hubers from The Rotterdam Eye Hospital, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and Angela Smith from the Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, United Kingdom.
